The Burette Slider Isn’t Appearing or Working
If you’re ready to use the burette but can’t find the slider, or the slider isn’t responding, check these common causes.
Make sure you’re zoomed out
The burette slider can’t be used while you’re zoomed in on an item.
To zoom out:
- Press Enter on your keyboard, or
- Select Zoom Out in the top-right corner.
Once you’re back in the wider simulation view, look for the slider beside the container under the burette.
Check the current guidance
The slider only appears during steps where it can be used.
If you don’t see it, check the guidance to make sure you’ve reached the step where you need to open the burette stopcock.
The slider will disappear again when it’s no longer needed.
Check your equipment placement
Make sure the receiving container is correctly positioned under the burette.
If the equipment isn’t in the expected position, the slider may not be available yet.
Follow the guidance and look for any orange placement indicators.
How to use the slider
Once the slider appears:
- Click and hold the position on the slider where you want the control to move.
- The slider will move toward that position.
- Liquid will begin flowing at the corresponding rate.
Opening the stopcock farther increases the flow.
Slider still not working?
Try zooming out again and checking that you’re on the correct guidance step.
